Supporting Culture and Charities

We understand the importance of giving back

As a successful organistaion, Adshel recognises the importance of giving back to the community.

We actively support not-for-profit and arts organisations, as well as many council initiatives, through the provision of free media space. This provides charities the opportunity to communicate their message using a media platform they ordinarily wouldn’t afford. It also enables them to redirect their limited resources to other areas.

Annually, across New Zealand and Australia, Adshel donates over $1,100,000 worth of media space to not-for-profit organisations, helping more than 50 charities to date, to maximise their presence using out of home media.

In addition to charitable organisations Adshel is a keen supporter of the Arts and also partners with key arts related organisations, helping to foster arts initiatives locally and nationally.

Some of the culture organisations we sponsor include:
 Auckland Art Gallery Auckland Festival
Christchurch Art GalleryWellington International Arts Festival

Some of the charities we have supported with media space include:
Royal NZ Foundation For The BlindStarship Angel Flight

Amnesty International

Save the Children New Zealand
 The Salvation ArmyHuman Rights Commission
NZ Breast Cancer FoundationThe Heart Foundation
 The Cancer SocietyWestpac Helicopter Trust

Life Connections Program
Furthering our commitment to the community and working towards the goal of Employer of Choice, Adshel introduced the ‘Life Connections Program’ with staff in 2001.

The initiative includes the donation of $250 per employee to a charity of the employee’s choice, which amounts to more than $100,000 in total since 2001 across the Tasman, as well as a contribution of one working day by each employee towards community or charity service.

In 2008 alone, Adshel staff across New Zealand and Australia have spent more than 100 days working with communities and charities.
