London Underground trials wifi

London Underground together with outdoor operator Primesight are trialling wifi and 3G at Glasgow Subway ahead of its rollout across the entire London Underground network.
This would allow commuters to stay connected on the go, as well as engaging with the ads displayed in the rail environment. Very cool!

The world's slowest billboard was unveiled in Singapore last weekend. SMS a number and see your message being spelled out by hand - could get a bit messy!
For something similar locally, LED allows you to swap out highly targeted messages at whatever frequency you desire - much faster than doing it by hand

Here's a great example of a company really bringing their brand values to life in the out of home environment. Irrespective of whether a wooden carved billboard would get through council it's about being authentic and bringing that authenticity through all communications.

Adshel, the Auckland Fringe and StopPress joint forces to see if that rule also applies to the dark, mysterious advertising arts with the announcement of the Creative Challenge. The event that ran on Wednesday 28th July aimed to showcase the talents of Kiwi creatives and at the same time promote creative excellence in outdoor advertising.
